Overall pretty good. The drink was the bomb! Wish they had happy hour. I got the boudin, w/sprouts. Unsure if it was uncooked or old and about to expire because the meat was slightly pink. Next time I go back, I'll just pay attention and let them know. The place was clean and the team members were welcoming.
Central City BBQ is freaking amazing and has some awesome BBQ with pllllllllenty of seating options of indoor/outdoor. The restaurants gives the vibe of a bbq joint which is so chill. I am not a big bbq fan, however, I love some good ribs and rib tips and I must say they don't disappoint with the rib tips. I have visited this location twice now and I had great experience each time. I have gotten 3 meat combo that comes with sides which were all fabulous. Very welcoming staff/service. Be advised they also have a "happy hour" from 3pm-6pm which is kinda cool and the chicken cracklin' were effing phenomenal! The restaurant is spacious and have plenty of tv's to catch any of your favorite sports/events
This is a great place. I came because of a recommendation and I will be recommending to others! You got to try that spoon bread, it's cornbread and corn bits. Good vibe as well!
Went here a few years back for a pre wedding buffet and was not all that impressed so luckily we went back to see what it was like at its best and we are glad we did. Very good BBQ coming from their huge smoking pits; the ribs were excellent, as were the rib tips, wings and brisket. Sides were good as well. Worth going; decent value, nice large dining room plus covered outdoor patio and adequate service though there is no table service.
Solid barbecue, quick service, friendly faces and some good flavors! The brisket was dry on my end but I'm from Texas so it might be a personal preference. The jambalaya and turkey was pretty killer, certainly the highlights of the meal! They didn't skimp on the servings either which was a pleasant surprise! The potato salad had good flavor but it was fairly simple, which was nice. It doesn't need 100 ingredients, sometimes simple and COLD potato salad is all you need! Overall, solid two meat plate! There is indoor and outdoor seating and was self seating. Interior there are TVs and a bar in the middle. Outside it's more of a patio setting but it was too hot to entertain that idea. Nice place, good food!
This is my new favorite place to get bbq in the city. I My go to are the rib tips! Tender, flavorful and just delicious. Their Brussel sprouts are also my favorite side. And let me not forget the pickles that come with on the plate are the best!! I usually order the two meat entree. It comes with good portion sizes, and I always have left overs for the next day. The staff is also so welcoming and helpful and there are so many seating options to choose from. Whether you want to see inside or out! Always look forward to going and the banana pudding bread pudding is on my list to try next!
The staff are so friendly here! Beautiful live music was going while we had dinner and drinks during happy hour. I got a pulled pork sandwich with a side of spoon bread and Ally got brisket ends sandwich with mac and cheese on the side:) The spoon bread was crazy!!
Its a pork heaven! The ribs and burnt ends were so tender, the mac so cheesy, and a the brussels were super yummy! It's dog friendly and has outdoor seating, so of course my dog had some bbq also.
